MANTORP SUCCESS

A SUCCESSFUL 1st RACE OF THE 2024 SEASON!!! FILLED WITH DRAMA AND ALOT OF FUN!!! SO LETS GET TO IT!!!

1. The first race was a little poor. After racing alongside Louise Larsson for 2 laps, I spun out in Kronet and it dropped me down to last position. However, I managed to slide myself back through P13 after a tough but exciting battle between me, Fredrik Lindholm, and Johan Varland. Johan Varland has to be my favorite of the battle, in the Mjolby kurvan, he dive bombed me and attempted to overtake me in the outside, I, however, executed a upper-in (Brake early to capture the inside of a corner defensively, very common against divebombers) and successfully defended my position all the way to the last lap.
2. The second race was excellent! I managed to take P10 with skill and a little bit of luck. During the start of the race, I overtook Jonathan Ohlander during the start and initiated a battle with Christan Loven which unfortunately did not last long as he pulled away pretty quickly. However, I was able to battle it out with Louise Larsson mid-way through the race, it was tough and we exchanged a few positions, later gaining higher positions after Kalle Svenson spun out in the F2-Kurvan. Alex Gustavsson also spun out in the final corner but managed to keep his position ahead of us and Louise used him as an advantage to overtake me as I was trying to keep distance on Alex. It would not last long however as Louise would later spin out in the F2-Kurvan after carrying a-bit too much speed into the corner. It was not the end of it though as to the last few minutes of the race, Kalle overtook me in the Drag straight where we were battling it out for P9. I did overtake Kalle in the Second to last lap, but he overtook me in the last lap. Unfortunate but fun nonetheless.
3. I will not say anything about it...

However, if I were to do a Driver of the Day, it definitely has to go to Christan Loven. His amazing pace and overtaking skills really kept him up the field and in the chance of contestion of the Mid-Field. For the seniors, It will be Johan as he is extremely persistent with his overtakes. For the rookies, it is definitely has to go to Alex Gustavsson. In the 1st race, he had a penalty which dropped him to P9 but he managed to fight his way into P5 in the last few moments of the race. Regardless, I think I did pretty good, but it can always be better! ONTO GELLERASEN!!!
