THE 2025 MID-SEASON DRIVER AWARDS
Yep! You all are seeing this right! I am doing a beautiful Mid-season Driver Awards! This is unofficial and not supported by Aquila in any way. This is all from my perspective and is to, again, provide other drivers with some of the spotlight that I get sometimes. Here are the awards given:
The current PROGRESS driver: A driver who has improved their performance massively ever since the start of the season.
The current FAIR driver: A driver capable of fair racing while maintaining the same aggressiveness on their overtakes and battles.
The current ALONSO driver: A driver in the senior class who keeps fighting and performing despite their classification. (Reference to F1 rookie driver Fernando Alonso)
The current DANTE driver: A driver in the rookie class who performs on an extreme level that barely anyone in other series would've seen before. (Reference to 2023 rookie and junior champion, Dante Johansson)
And now, LETS BEGIN!!!
The current PROGRESS driver
Now, in this list, out of 4 drivers, The drivers are: Fredrik Lindholm, Devan Grabko, Jonathan Ohlander, and Leonel Skaar.
Out of all these 4 drivers, with some evaluating, the award goes to... FREDRIK LINDHOLM! A driver who is consistently in the top 10, he is steadily climbing up the steps to podium with the first evidence of that being at the Mid-sweden race weekend in the 3rd race which he was able to keep up with the top 5 for the first half of the race, and now in the Gellerasloppet, he kept up with the top 5 and in race 3, a bloody podium! He is a driver who deserves this reward! I hope to see great things from Lindholm because I seriously believe he is gonna win at-least one time this season! Lets keep cheering for Lindholm!!!
The current FAIR driver
For this list, it took a bit of time to think. In this list, it is: Linus Stjernelund, Max Stjernelund, William Isaksson, Enzo Cohlin, and Celina Hessman.
These 5 drivers know how to keep fighting fair and aggressive at the same time, keeping the aggressiveness on that perfect dot, but there is one driver in here, who kept up a fair fight in Gellerasloppet, and more aggressively but fairly, a-bit of a fair contact match in Mittsvergiebanan, this driver is in my opinion, the most stubborn driver for this half of the season and it is... WILLIAM ISAKSSON!!! This driver is beyond stubborn, I fought with him in race 1 and race 2 of the Mid-sweden Race Weekend and he made it a pain in the arse to overtake him, resulting me making extremely aggressive moves which even surprised my coach, Elias Adestam. He also kept a good fair fight with Jonathan Ohlander and kept it clean too. That is the step to becoming a good driver. Great work Isaksson, AND KEEP IT UP!!!
The current ALONSO driver
This driver the whole Aquila field knows really well. Resilent, and stubborn, he tries to never give up a race and if he was forced to, he would assist his fellow competitors as much as he can. He is a driver whose prime never ends. He is a driver with a dream, to just keep driving! And he will race alongside his fellow competitors for years to come. This driver is... JOHAN VARLAND!!! The driver with many duties, with 2 children, being a promoter of the series and a driver while still managing to keep a fight in the Gellerasloppet? If that isn't stubborn, I don't know what is! Johan is one of the kindest, yet ruthless drivers on the grid, if you're in a battle with him, expect a battle! Keep going Johan! Be the inspiration to all drivers that regardless of age, regardless of how much duties you have, you can keep going and keep fighting!
The current DANTE driver
These 3 drivers, all rookies and performing on extreme levels! But of course there is one driver that stood out the most. A resilient driver who despite their misfortune, still managed to perform and get podiums! And for this award, I will give it to... GUSTAV BERGLUND!!! Spinning out multiple times in gellerasen, he proves that he still can fight to the maximum and kept his cool, managing to overtake smoothly and create good performance. I would've given this to Linus Stjernelund, but after seeing the resilience with Gustav and the way his performance just keeps rising, I chose him! Gustav, we hope to see you get a win!
And that is all the awards I have to give to these exceptional drivers. These drivers are excellent at what they do and they still continue to exceed expectations even when pressure is applied to them. These drivers truly know their wits and guts to do what they do truly best. Race and perform.
Great job to all the drivers and that is all from the awards as we head into the speed track but twisty Ring Knutstorp weekend in the first few days of July!
